Cozumel Wedding Photography | Isla Pasión Wedding | Jeff & Megan

One of most amazing venues for a Cozumel wedding has to be Isla Pasión. It sits across a lagoon on the far north side of the island and has lovely beaches and groves of casuarina trees (not that common on the island). Technically, it’s not an island, but it certainly feels like one, since the only access is by boat. As the day trippers leave in the afternoon, it definitely feels like your own tropical island. The peninsula/island has beautiful beaches on the Caribbean side and a calm lagoon on the other side.

Couples are able to book one of the two cabins to spend the night after the ceremony, which makes it a very special place. Guests arrive by a larger boat, which ferries them across the broad lagoon, giving the locale a feeling of solitude and exclusivity.

Megan & Jeff had an intimate wedding on the beach with Jeff’s children in their wedding part, which always gives the ceremony a warm, fuzzy feeling. While the clouds gathered, we took a nice walk down their own “private beach” for some dramatic photos with the ocean and sky. No photo bombers here!

The rain stayed away during the cocktail hour under the palapa as the capable Isla Pasión crew prepared for dinner. A wonderful dinner was served during speeches by the parents and Jeff’s children. The youngest was starting to snooze and then the mariachis arrived! It was definitely the end of nap time and time for music and dancing.  Nothing like a teenager to get the party going, and Chloe showed everyone her moves on the dance floor, swinging with Dad and her new Mom. Soon, everyone was on the floor and the party was in full swing.

Our thanks to two lovely people who trusted us with their special day. Enjoy!
