Cancun Wedding Photographer | Destination Wedding
The sun had reached its peak and was just beginning to start its ascent when Jordan & Matt promised each other forever. They chose to have their destination wedding on Isla Mujeres because of their love of sunsets, so it was only fitting that they got married in the light of the evening sun. Jordan & Matt met in high school and have been inseparable for the last 10 years. Matt proposed in Akumal, Mexico while they were on vacationed, and they knew from the beginning that they wanted a destination wedding in the in the beautiful country of Mexico.
Jordan: “We were looking for a place that was low-key. After looking online we found Isla Mujeres. We visited later that year and just fell in love! The island and beaches are beautiful and the venue was gorgeous. We knew we couldn’t find anything better. Plus you have the sunset over the beach!”
The morning of their wedding they got ready at a private villa called Casa de las Palmas. The morning was relaxed but filled with anticipation for the moment they would finally say “I do”.
In the bride’s words, “The entire night was amazing, but one of my favorite parts was walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Matt waiting at the altar. There was so much love and emotion throughout the entire ceremony! Matt agreed saying, “The ceremony on the beach was awesome. I enjoyed being in the sun and the sand to celebrate our vows.”
We loved photographing this couple! You only had to see them together once, to get a glimpse of their love for each other. It is real, authentic and deep. These 2 are also adventurous and creative in a way that made wedding photography fun. We were able to take some beautiful photos on the long pier at Zama on Isla Mujeres. Their destination wedding was beautiful and intimate as they spent the day surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Congratulations to Matt & Jordan – we were honored to be your wedding photographers.
