Quite often, our posts relate our impressions of the wedding day and describe it from our perspective. This time, we think the bride and groom should tell you about their wedding day. First, they talk about their memories of the day:
“There were so many amazing things about our day that were memorable so choosing one is very difficult and this is going to approach the line of cheesy and then run past it. I remember arriving and seeing the venue set up exactly as we hoped it would be – even exceeding expectations. I remember the pastor finally telling me to turn around so I could see my bride-to-be walking down the aisle. I remember my wife putting the cake frosting on my face even we agreed we weren’t doing that and me chasing her around. I remember the outpouring of love from our guests and how phenomenal it was to have all these people there that day to support us. Overall the most memorable part of that day for me was the kiss the bride moment. We’d done it! Months of planning were over now and I was finally married to my best friend. As the Crazy in Love recessional music started to play I was just so incredibly happy dancing down the aisle towards the reception (and just before we started doing the staged photos that turned out so beautifully).” – Michael

While we know that choosing the photographer is an important decision, the venue is equally important. There are so many places to get married in the Riviera Maya, the choices are daunting. Here is why they chose Blue Venado:
“The venue is one of the two best decisions we made during the entire process (the other being the photographers – we’ve said this in our Wedding Wire and Best Destination Wedding reviews so we’re not just saying that here). The venue was simply stunning. We chose it because we wanted to have a beach wedding that was not tied to a hotel so that our guests would be free to stay where they wanted to stay and we would be able to choose the vendors we wanted to choose.  We poured over review websites, guide books, internet forums, and even went to a wedding expo focused on destination weddings before selecting our venue. We picked them because we loved the photos of the venue we saw online, the reviews were great, there were no vendor fees, they were in the area we had decided upon – basically they checked all of our boxes. We ended up LOVING it because of the team there. Sofia Garcia who is their onsite wedding planner literally recreated photos we sent her and gave us our dream wedding. When we arrived the venue looked just as perfect as we could have hoped. ” – Brandi
